EXPLORE DANCE I
Explore Dance I introduces ballet and tap to students ages 3-5 with little or no dance training. This class provides the foundation that will be applied to all dance styles. It introduces 1st-5th position, proper alignment, balance development, discipline, rhythm, and flexibility. 
BALLET I

Ballet I introduces the fundamentals  of classical ballet.  This class reviews technique, use of feet, proper alignment, ballet vocabulary, and discipline.  Barre', center floor work, and across the floor combinations are introduced.

JAZZ I

Jazz I is designed to teach proper jazz technique.  This class will introduce warm-ups, stretches, leaps, turns, floor work, combinations, and across the floor progressions. The goal is to increase flexibility and strengthen the legs, feet, and core.

HIP-HOP

Hip Hop is an upbeat, high energy, style of dance that encourages students to bring their own personality and style to the dance movements.  Classes are age appropriate.  Stretching, isolations, rhythms, musicality, upper body strength, and funky footwork will all be incorporated. Students will focus on repetition and retention by working on combinations during class. 

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING (Offered as a Private Lesson)

Strength and Conditioning class focuses on building core strength, increasing endurance, and enhancing flexibility through a variety of exercises.  Students will learn to use their body weight to increase strength and flexibility without additional equipment. 
 

Each class begins with a cardio warm-up for 10-15 minutes to improve conditioning.  Next, we will target a specific areas of the body, such as core, arms, legs, etc. The final 15 minutes focuses on flexibility with stretching exercises to increase the dancers range of motion and create the long lean muscles desired for dancing.

EXPLORE DANCE II

Explore Dance II introduces ballet, tap, and hip hop to students ages 6-8 with little or no dance training. It provides a foundation that will be applied to all dance styles. This class introduces 1st-5th position, proper alignment, barre' exercises, musicality, discipline, rhythm, free style, vocabulary and flexibility. Ballet is offered for 30 minutes every week.  Tap and hip hop classes are altered every other week for 30 minutes.

BALLET II

Ballet II reviews skills taught in Ballet I. This class will focus on proper leg extensions, movement, position of the arm, and body direction. Students will notice an increase in difficulty in barre' and center combinations.

JAZZ II

Jazz II is designed to improve energy and endurance for students with beginner jazz technique. This class offers challenging choreography that focuses on repetition and retention of center combinations and across the floor progressions.  Students are introduced to advanced leaps and turns.
